Good Lord! I have written like 3 entries that have vanished into the internet vapor. I don't know why this blogware hates me but I will try once again.
Lets see.... I got an A in my photoshop class. The Images I made were very silly as you might imagine. I did learn something from the class despite being heads above the rest of the class as far as experience with the program. It was decent.
My Class Work!

Most of my time in the class was spent helping all the non-mac users with getting around the OS, showing the actual Mac users how to actually use their macs. "Oh you mean there are other programs that can go chatting besides AIM?" I also helped 3 people register their domains and sign up for hosting at godaddy. On the mac tips thing I recently had to show a mac user a trick which I thought every mac user knew. She was saying that she liked PC info navigation better than Apple. And I asked for a specific example of what was better. She said she really hated how the trash worked on a Mac. She's had a Powerbook for several years and she said "dragging things to the trash is a drag." I was like "Are you kidding me? Thats like the easiest thing in the whole OS to do." I showed her shift-delete and shift-apple-delete and she felt like a total idiot. Then she said "what about ejecting a disk? Don't tell me there is a shortcut for that" I thought I was going to lose it. I just bookmarked the apple shortcuts pdf in her browser and left feeling good about my knowledge. Then when I went home that day I told Jodi about that deleting files thing and she said I was a "geek" and that not everyone should be expected to know those things. Turns out thats because she didn't know it either.
In other stories Gunshow went to the Providence Improv Festival again. It was a lot of fun again. Not as fun personally as last year but that was mainly because we knew a lot of the same people there this time. A lot less discovery and new-ness. We were hoping to get teamed up with the same groups as last year but instead we got kind of shafted. We did perform with Boston Improv who did a text book awesomelongform show. It was great and really inspired us to do a great show, too. In fact we actually had 2 really decent shows there. Both really well recieved. Also different this year was the fact that Ryan didn't come. He had already booked a trip to Mexico so he went to do that. We almost didn't either but we decided to invite Ashley's husband to come with us. He is a fantastic improvisor so I knew that the shows would be good and they were. I think anyone who saw our 2nd show will forever be scarred and need therapy for years after watching a ferret raping a cat on stage. It was really insane.. in a good way.
One kind of bummer was the fact that Nate, Ashley's husband, wiped out in the street doing something really goofy. There was a thing in the street that showed how fast cars were going and all the dudes (minus me) decided to run as fast as they could. He started off kind of looking like he wasn't going to do it. Then he took a drag of his cigarette and started running towards it. Everyone turned to watch as the numbers climbed. 12...13...14.....15...16... and suddenly he was starting to pitch forward and then down he went. He totally busted his ass. Arms flailing. Ass over tea-kettle in the street. Arms all road rashed. He immediately got up and was complaining about his hand hurting. The next day we went to the mall and I found him this wrist brace thing. He didn't find out until they got back to New York that he'd broken a bone in his hand. Total drag...
After PIF I caught the train out of Providence and went to Massachucetts to hang out with my family who had gone there for the 4th of July. It was actually Ace's birthday on the 2nd so we had a party and watched the insane fireworks display from this nice ladies house. The lady is known only to me as "the woman whose husband was killed riding his bike." My mom likes to refer to her like this to upset me I think. Or maybe to not so subliminally tell me to be more careful...
I won't go into too much detail but Ace had 2 more birthday parties before the week was over. It was a busy week!
This past week Thursday we had a huge family dinner with my Aunt & Uncle & Cousins. Mainly it was just to have dinner with my cousin Amanda & her husband Shoky (Christopher). They arfe just back in town from living in Ghana and now they are moving down to Argentina. Crazy life! Anyway, we went to dinner with them at this mad fancy place called "Picholine" I had to get the suit out! To give you an idea of what the meals were like Jodi had a "Watermelon & Feta Cheese Salad", the gave us Cucumber & Cumin Soup and the desert was an Ice Cream that tasted like Roquefort Cheese. I did not have the Ice Cream. The meal was probably like $120 a person and there were like 12 of us. I am glad I didn't have to pay the bill because it was hardcore, I'm sure. It was nice to chill with everyone though. Really a good time.
Now I'm about 10 days out of going on vacation again to New Hampshire. Looking forward to chilling at the beach with the family. This time I think it's just going to be us and a friend of Jodi's is coming for a long weekend. No other distractions.... Well, there are always distractions... My question is should I set up my extra wireless router there or continue to steal wireless from the neighbors? We'll see if the DSL is still set up I guess.
Improv class has been good. I made a weird choice in the last class which is haunting me for some reason. Damn Thetans. I guess I need another e-metering. Totally kidding. I'm OC3.
