Car & Halo 2
I temporarily lost my mind this weekend. I blame my Halo 2 lack of sleep and the fact that I was driving my moms car in NYC.
Driving in NYC... driving in general bestows upon me a special kind of unplesaant insanity that makes me exteremely irritable.
Sigh. Well a week has passed since I wrote those fateful words and now I am gearing up to do it all over again. Picking up car at 4pm so I can go pick up Jodi & Ace at the airport. They are in Milwaukee for a couple of days. It's Jodi & Ace's first trip together. She was really freaked out about. It's been weird not having anyone around the house. Kind of depressing actually. I have been soothing myself with a mountain of Halo 2 playing.
As always I am better than average at it on the multiplayer. I beat the single player in just over a week. It's fun but I am having crazy trouble being booted off the xBox live network. It's starting to look like my Airport is the culpret. That would suck! Getting a better and cheaper wirelessrouter is easy but explaining to Jodi why we need it is a different story!
Bought Mick Napier's book on Improv. Hope it's not sucky.

The downs and the ups
Gunshow did 2 of three shows this week.
1) The Royal Wood:
Gunshow role call: Lou F., Danny W., Ryan S.
The only people who showed up were the stand up comics who'd come out to do their bits. We sat through them which was acually entertaining. When it came our turn to perform I was less than happy with my personal performance. We id a really weird show involving rigged science fairs, Studio 54, mock coitus, school for troubled children, wrapping people in posters and putting them to sleep. It was just weird. Not a great place to do improv either. The stage was seperating under our feet and the audience can look right past you into the bar so they can see people milling around and drinking.
At the end of the night we were asked by one of the people there to fill in for a group the next day and that is how we ended up at...
2) Drinky Town at Parkside Lounge:
Gunshow Role Call: Lou F., Ryan S., Ashley W.
We showed up with no warm up time and jumped on stage pretty much right away. The show started off nice and we got major props at the end of the deal.
The Scenes.
1) Two teens are trying to sneak out of the house in the boys fathers car. They make too much noise and wake up the dad who almost kills them with a gun becasue he thought they were robbers. He makes them take him to get some food and bonds with his son.
"My mom says the gas pedal is like a lion and the break is like a mouse. They're both powerful in their own way." - Ashley
2) People live in a house with a demonic hole in the wall that must be fed chicken bones. One roommate decided that the hole needs to eat better and make it a healthy meal. The hole vomits the meal out. Meanwhile the roommate who has been eating all the chicken to feed it bones has eaten too much and is going to vomit. The hole invited her to vomit in to it.
3) one roommate confesses that he drank the others SunnyD that he'd been fermenting for over a year. The result is that he is very high. The roommate is very angry. (tap-out)
3a) A mom tells her son that she threw out his SunnyD. She too has actually drank it and is very high. He is disappointed.
4) Two nerds are playing D & D. They are startled by tapping at the window. They worry that they are being watched and that they will be ridiculed. As it turns out they're being watched by a nerd who wants to join them.
5) Father has to pass insane driving test in Wal-Mart parking lot to join son's club. He does. Person in the trunk of car is released and vomits. After getting in car the father drives crazy again to make sure the puke is out.
6) A couple living in a house with a demon hole find out that the hole is abandoned. They hate the house.
The audience really ate it up. We got very good applause at the end of each scene and a nice applause at the end of the show. It was a very uplifting show after the Royal Wood show.
Finally we were supposed to go to Juvie Hall to perform but we called the show because no one came. That was sucky. Bigtime. But we have been having major problems with our mailing list so no one has known about them. We're working on it. I swear.

Hello Master Chief
It's 1am. I just got back from standing in line at Game Stop to pick up my copy of Halo 2. The line was lionger than I thought it would be and comprised of mainly young black men. Also in line were some horridly fat little kids who would not shut the fuck up. Complaining that they were only $7 short of full payment and that they should be allowed to be in the full payment line and that it wasn't fair and blah blah blah. Their father was a miserable looking guy with a bulbous garlic nose. I pity his shitty life with those two fat fucks. At least the Halo should shut them up. I went to Game Stop with Terry Jinn so at least the 45 mins we stood in the cold wasn't alone with all those heathens.
Working at Game Stop must suck. All them time dealing with shitty broke kids who come in like junkies.
I just put the game in.... life... ending....

Well fuck it
So the election sucked. Bush won and there is no doubt about it. He rallied his base and clouded the subjects until gay marriage, abortion and terror were what the debate was about. What happened to the fact that Bush is goofball who has blundered his way through 4 years of domestic and foreign nightmares. We'll be chewing these words for the next 4 years so people just better settle in for 4 years of sour grapes.
Gunshow had a show last night that was cancelled because the group, M'Omlette, broke up. We showed up and were ready yo do our thing but 25 mins into the show time no one was there so we called it a day.
Halloween was fun. Ace was the cutest monkey in the Park Slope parade.
