KingLou Drops Science 2.0

I was feeling pretty okay about yesterdays screening of the 2nd episode of my short format TV show "The Fugitive Chef." I had been at the selection committee for this months screening and felt that my show was good enough to stay in contention. However at the actual screening I could feel the audience not liking the movie. Not hating it just not laughing at the jokes and not really feeling the story. Afterwards people were talking about how good it was. It was good. It had a story. It was well shot. Well edited. It just wasn't funny enough. My main feeling is that I cut Trents amazing opening that told the backstory in order to give me more room for story and that was a big mistake. I could easily have lost some of the dumb story for the credits. Without the credits telling people the backstory no one really cared. I came in last place.

On the way home from work yesterday I got stuck on the brooklyn bridge because the fucking TWU marched over 1000 people across the bridge in solidarity for their jerkoff union leader who has to go to jail for 10 days because he authorized the illegal strike of the TWU.

So getting stuck was the first real sign of the day heading south. I should have listened to the cops who warned me they were coming. I waited for like 5 minutes an dthen since I didn't see them coming still I decided to go ahead and go for it. I didn't make it to the first anchorage before the union jerkoffs were streaming down on the bridge. I have never met with such a jerky body of marchers before. Full of threats and promised of violence. "You gonna get crushed." "We ain't moving out yo way. You moving fo' us." "Don't say I didn't warn you that you was gonna get knocked off yo bike" These are quotes from marchers to me. I also watched some photographer and another guy accost a biker who was riding dangerously, but still before the crush of marchers, and threaten to throw him in the river after forceabley removing him from his bike. It was a really awful moment. It made me feel nothing but anger towards these a-hole transit people. If they had only convinced 11 people to vote the other way this retarded march wouldn't have been happening. Now I know that the union is going to inflate a cyber-rat on this blog for being a union breaker. Sigh.

I would like to take a second to say how irritating the way this blogware formats text. It's making me very angry.

    Sorry for the silence of late. For some reason this blogware hates my Safari Browser both at home and work and I keep losing posts. Using Camino for now.

So... where were we? Oh yes. So, I bought a new bike. I am not crazy about it. The reasons are too long to go into right now but suffice to say I think I bought the bike hastily in a moment of stolen bike rage.

I am almost done with Fugitive Chef 2. Just need to do some pick up shots tomorrow. The edit is pretty solid. Not as funny as the last episode but what can you do. If this one gets in I am going to need help with getting the next one done bigtime. I sat in on the judging this month for the screening. I guess we lucked out. There were only 8 submissions versus last month when there were 25. Out of the 8 we only chose 3. And of those 3 maybe only 1 was good enough to be in. Seriously bad shows. Bad production, bad comedy, old people. All the errors in one big pile. I have high hopes for the "The Incredible Drunk." After the judging we got free pizza from one of the actors in it. It was awesome. The pizza that is. Drunk was funny but slow. We'll see how it goes over.

School is almost done. I have been spacey bigtime. I need a better oganizational system there. A better way to track when events are happening and so on. Anything would be better than being reminded by an irritated faculty member sticking their head in the door and saying "uh, we're starting in 3 minutes. Is someone coming down?" Granted most of the time all I am doing is flipping a switch or presiding over the restarting of a computer (fucking Dell garbage) but people can be helpless. Much the way I am with this blogware with my Safari.

I heard this on the street around 42nd street. A couple were walking toward
the Mr. Softee Ice Cream truck and the woman pointed to the truck and said "So, you getting?" To which the man replied "I'm gonna get." I just thought it was odd.
