The final show was really awesome all around. We performed with Strongers and Primal Bias. Primal Bias was a classic team that came back to fill in a spot that opened when one of the teams from the final season disbanded very early. They kicked ass in a hilarious show. We followed them with a very fun and solid show that was classic Team Fernandez/Gunshow. It was gross and silly and full of call backs. The final performance was Strongers, the team Terry Jinn was on. In my opinion it was a masterpiece show. The show was a crazy meta improv show performed to perfection. I don't think one thing was dropped and it ended with brilliant appropriateness as the show became a baby that pleased with Terry not to kill it and then Terry killed it and them himself to bring final closure to the show. After that, as if it could get any better, there was a final Team Deathmatch. Teams were picked at random and allowed to perform for 10 mins or so. I placed my name in the hat, which was something I really never did before. I was rewarded handsomely. I was picked to be on like the ass kickin'est team ever assembled. We had a hilarious show. The second show was hilarious but for a totally different reason. There were some super beginner improv folks who decided to put their name in the hat and they got put on the 2nd team. One of them was this totally over the top african american gentleman who was probably the gayest person I have seen outside of the Gay Pride Parade. This poor guy basically became comedy kryptonite. He was in almost every scene and sounded like Chris Tucker from The Fifth Element. Except gayer and louder. And best of all he wasn't really listening so it was like an insane over the top nonsense stream. I know, I am mean spirited person. Ryan Sturt was in the 2nd group and probably had the funniest moment in the show but I felt really bad for him for having to endure the madness that was happening around him. I talked to the coach of that beginner improv guy who was so crazy and he didn't see it as terribly as I did. He was like "they did great! It was scary being up there with all the other players." I agree it would be scary to be up there. Thats why it only took me 7 years to get the courage to do it. Sigh...

Since it was our final show I decided to get team t-shirt made and in a gesture of gratitude I had one made for my friend Trent as well. Trent came to almost every single Team Fernandez show (and Gunshow show) since the beginning. His votes helped carry us for seasons and so I got him a t-shirt as well.

It was a great end to a really fun run. Now we're doing ONE last show for the Providence Improv Festival in June. I am looking forward to it!
I can't believe it took me over a month to post this update....
