I made 5 total Mac Tips videos and since I started posting them I have had a lot more views, commenst and subscribers than I have in the past. I want to keep making them when I get back. I may have to find somewhere else to shoot. In the meantime check this out
Rye Beach chill zone has been entered. That's right. The Fernandez family has shifted its collective weight Northward to New Hampshire for the annual pilgrimage to the beach. We left Saturday and classically about an hour after I wanted to. I couldn't decide if I wanted to make it over to the West Side of Manhattan ot take the traditional route to NH or I wanted to listed to the GPS. I decided on GPS. What a fucking mistake. It's main goal is to find you the most direct route. Thats great in theory. But in practice it blows. It took us through some of the most insanely jammed traffic channels possible. All said it probably took us two hours longer than it should have to escape the insanity of the city.
First day at the beach was officially today and we survived. Jodi and I went to do the grocery shopping this morning. We were going to stop at the Wal-Mart and then the grocery story. We arrived at Wal-Mart and realized that it had morphed from just a regular Wal-Mart into a massive Mega Wal-Mart Grocery store and regular Wal-Mart SUPER MART. One minute we were in the regular store and suddenly we were surrounded by aisles and aisles of food. It was actually really disorienting. Really long aisles of food. I was really pleased to see there was a Latino food section in one aisle. It was only about 5 feet wide but hey it's there. I was disappointed however to see that the Latino food section was placed directly next to the HISPANIC food section. How racist is that?! America's (and China's) bounty were in full effect in there. The only place that Mega-Mart failed was in the produce. The produce there was totally gross looking. It was all Organic, which an interesting choice, but it wall looked beat. Also right there was the Deli meats section. All the people working there looked like death warmed over. I had to get out of there ASAP. Depression factor was too much. When I was young all the people working at places were also young. Now everyone working at those places look like the young peoples meth addict parents.
We came back to the beach and played with Ace for the rest of the day. Around midday the Comcast cable guy came to set up the cable modem. I found my old netgear WiFi router and brought it to the beach so we could finally stop leeching the wifi from next-door. My mom figyured that after 3-4 years of doing it was time to get our own. We aren't leaving it unprotected though. :p
Time to catch up on the internets now. Bye!
